And by the way, does anyone apart from me remember modern talking. okay, i do. because i thought they were really cool. i obviously had very little knowledge in the cool department, because i spent a lot of time singing cheri cheri lady and brother louie. and actually thought you're my heart, you're my soul was the coolest song anyone could ever put on a mix tape for me.
i was a cool, cool girl.

Is it the tape called "Remix Party" with the tracks Brother Louie, Tarzan Boy and Cheri Cheri Lady?
I loved 'you're my heart, you're my soul' and I had it on a mix tape too! One my dad picked up for me from Bombay and brought to my boarding school... best tape I ever owned! :D
*Raises Hand* a fellow cool girl. My mix tape introduced me to the wonder that was Air Supply as well.
Was the grumpy lady conversation anywhere near New Market, Calcutta? It sounds like classic Sudder Street talk.

Modern Talking, along with Steve 'i just call' Wonder and glenn "nothings gonna change" medeiros, introduced me to western music. oh, and how can i forget 'funky town'. aah, growing up in the 80s!
Brother Loui...Dance Dance Dance...life is Dance...yes, we were cool and with shaved jhulpis and centre parting...
i can say with certainty that i've never heard any of these. :(
